About.Davies Hood PLLC helps small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals with legal issues. We want to help you realize your mission and make it happen. We limit the assignments and relationships we undertake so we can concentrate on your issues. One focus we have is to provide outsourced, in-house counsel services. Small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and entrepreneurs face the same legal challenges of larger organizations, but can't always afford a full-time lawyer on their staff. We can fill that need on a regular basis to meet your needs.

Dawn E. Kvande
Legal Assistant Dawn Kvande serves as a legal assistant for the firm. She assists with our estate planning, corporate, employment, nonprofit, and other practice areas. Dawn is very organized and works well with clients and other professionals. This may be an attribute from her early career as a summer camp counselor or as a result of being a math major and teacher. She survived being a middle school math teacher and fourth grade teacher before undertaking administrative roles in a school business office. Dawn also worked in the development office of a private school, maintaining fundraising and alumni databases, processing mailings, creating fundraising reports and reconciling accounts. Prior to joining our law firm, she served as an office manager for an interior decorator. Dawn began her work at our firm as a receptionist and office assistant, but quickly developed the skills to work as our legal assistant. Dawn graduated from Wittenberg University with a major in mathematics and has a master's degree in education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
